David told us how he swims a lot but mainly in the pool, he have decided to take up a new challenge and start open water swimming. He spotted the club in Royal London Docks and decided to join a session. It was fantastic! David looked out for the Beluga whale but unfortunately no luck!
Libby decided to try and train for the Swindon Half Marathon over the summer period because she had finished her level 3 CILEx exams in June so had some extra free time out of work before she started college. She had never run a race before, aside from school cross country, and the furthest she had run was 5k, so she wasn’t sure if it was achievable but it was an aim to motivate her to exercise! On 9th September Libby ran the Swindon Half Marathon in 2 hours 20 minutes and was really pleased with her first attempt. Libby is planning to join a running club now, in order to train for more races and hopefully improve her speed.
We would like to congratulate both David and Libby on their fantastic achievements!
