Legal Secretarial Assistant – Child Care Public Law Department

We are looking for an experienced legal secretarial assistant to work in the child Care Public Law department of our busy Law firm in Walsall. 

You will have fast accurate audio typing skills, computer literate.   A good working knowledge of children and family law procedures,  familiar with online legal aid applications and billing procedures would be an advantage. 

We act for families and children and client service with high quality work is our priority

Attributes:

  • Have at least 1 year experience of child care/public law matters.

VACANCY - STAR LEGAL SOLICITORS

Star Legal solicitors are seeking to recruit 2 solicitors and/or experienced case workers to join a strong reputable team within the West Midlands. 

  1. A Mental Health Solicitor or case worker who is Panel Accredited.  Supervisor status is desirable but not essential
  2. A Health and Welfare Court of Protection solicitor or case worker, with experience of Court of Protection cases and knowledge and experience of legal aid regulations.  Accredited Legal Representative/Mental Capacity Panel accreditation is desirable but not essential

    We seek someone who has a keen commitment to representation of vulnerable individuals, has excellent communications skills, is adaptable and has an enthusiasm to help grow and develop a thriving and fast paced department.  Experience of managing your own case load is required.

Star Legal's Bromsgrove Branch is seeking applications for the following jobs:

Experienced Family Solicitor

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Family Solicitor, ideally with a following, to join our Bromsgrove team.  


The successful applicant must have significant experience (a minimum of 5 years PQE) with a good working knowledge of private matrimonial and finance matters.  
 

You must be able to deal with a varied caseload of divorce, financial remedy, co-habitation and pre-nuptial agreements.  

These attributes are essential for this role.  
 

Experience in full case management including conducting own advocacy is essential for this role.  


You must be a team player with good communication skills and the ability to fully supervise, work with and be supported by a newly qualified solicitor and Legal Assistant. 


A willingness to network to grow professionally would be advantageous.

This is a full-time permanent position based at our Bromsgrove office.  A full UK driving licence is required.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for either a newly qualified Legal Executive / Solicitor, or someone of up to 3 years PQE, to join our Bromsgrove office.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced residential property Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Chartered Legal Executive to join our Wokingham office on a full-time basis. The role will also be to perform the Head of Office position.

The successful applicant will:

·        ideally have recent experience working in Wokingham and/or Berkshire;

·        have a proven track record in building excellent relationships with local estate agents and referrers of work;

Star Legal's Swindon Branch is seeking applications for the following jobs:

Part Time Litigation Fee Earner

The Swindon office of Star legal require a part time litigator to deal with a general civil litigation case load to help out a partner who has a very busy case load. These are  principally contractual claims, negligence and some simple construction and possession actions. You will need to be at least a two year qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive or an experienced paralegal able to deal with your own case load, work to deadlines and hit targets.

The position could be self-employed or salaried. Remuneration will be at least market rate dependent upon experience with a performance bonus for exceeding targets. We are looking for someone to work 2-3 days per week and provide holiday cover if required.

We envisage the role will be hybrid or flexible mostly working from home with occasional days in the office or in Court. It would be helpful if you lived within reasonable travelling distance of North Wiltshire to facilitate this.
