Experience
Valerie has over 30 years’ experience with particular interests in cases involving children and families involved with social services. As a Higher Rights Advocate Valerie offers representation at all levels of the Family court and has appeared in in the Court of Appeal. Valerie is a member of the Children Panel.
Background
After graduating from City of Birmingham University Valerie spent time as a accountant specialising in tax before taking her Solicitors Finals and winning the Law Society Bronze Medal. She founded her own firm Cox & Co more than 30 years ago. The firm eventually became CMHT and is now part of Star Legal and she is the joint head of the Walsall office and leads the family department there.
