Thornbury is very excited to be part of this years Gromit Unleashed 2 Trail. Our Gromit sculpture, Honeysuckle Rose, will be situated in St Mary Centre from 2nd July until 2nd September. The trail has 67 sculptures to find all based around the Bristol area with Thornbury being the most northerly Gromit. The aim of the trail is to raise funds for Bristol Children’s Hospital and we will be running fundraising events during the trail period. Thornbury Chamber of Commerce are thrilled that Thornbury can be part of the event and hope that we can raise lots of money to support the charity. Our Thornbury Gromit has been designed by Sarah Jane Grace and she kindly came to Thornbury to see where her sculpture will be placed. I am sure you will all agree that it is beautiful and fits well into Thornbury with its floral theme. You can find more information about the trail on the www.grandappeal.org.uk website.
